You would be hard pressed to find a flavour of hummus that I haven’t made. I love hummus and love trying new flavours like roasted kale, parsley and roast cherry tomatoes and my all time favourite – jalapeño and spring onion.
So when I happened upon an idea of adding nutritional yeast, I couldn’t believe I hadn’t tried it before. This is very lemony so half the quantity of the lemon if you prefer a more subtle taste. I use a mini chopper to blend but you can double the quantity and blend in a processor for s smoother consistency.
INGREDIENTS
1 can of chickpeas drained
1 tsp of garlic powder
juice of 1 lemon
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp nutritional yeast
handful of parsley
dash of water
2 tbsp olive oil
- Throw all the ingredients in a blender until you acheive the desired consistency.
